Call for Abstracts for the first Conference on Cognition Research of the Israeli Society for Cognitive Psychology(2014)

We are pleased to announce that the first Conference on Cognition Research of the Israeli Society for Cognitive Psychology will be held on February 10-12, 2014, in the Knights Youth Hostel and Guest House in Akko (Acre) Our aim is to bring together the large and diverse Israeli cognitive community of researchers and students in a single venue to share their research and perspectives on this rapidly advancing field. Payment for accommodation at the Knights Youth Hostel and Guest House: November 30th2013

Accommodation and rates:

1) Registration fees: Researchers – 200 NIS, Students – 100 NIS.

2) Full board accommodation at the Knights Youth Hostel and Guest House: double occupancy – 320 NIS per night per person; triple occupancy – 300 NIS per person; quadruple occupancy – 280 NIS per person.

3) Lunch and dinner options will be available at the guesthouse for attendees who are staying elsewhere.

4) The rooms at the conference venue are best suited for multiple occupancy (2 to 4 persons). The number of rooms is limited, so additional rooms (including single occupancy) are available for conference attendees at the nearby Akkotel (, Efendi Hotel ( and Hotel Hof Hatmarim ( Full details will be available within a few weeks on our website.


The conference will include short oral presentations by students and faculty (15 minutes in length, followed by a 5-minute discussion period) as well as poster sessions.

Abstract submission:

Abstracts should be submitted via email The maximum length for abstracts is 150 words. Each abstract should include: a title; the authors' names; the name of the presenter (if not the first author); the institution(s), email address and telephone number of the first author; and preference of presentation mode (oral presentation /poster).

Note that if the number of requests for oral presentations is greater than time and space allow, selection will be performed by the conference committee.
